MWD Colt T230

MWD Colt T230 was more than just a military working dog; he was a partner, a veteran, and a best friend. 🐾🇺🇸
A Legacy of Courage:
Afghanistan (2012): Colt served on the front lines during a critical time in the conflict. As an Improvised Explosive Device Detection Dog (IDD), his sharp nose and unwavering focus were the first line of defense against hidden threats.
"Hunt it up": Guided by these words, Colt worked off-leash to clear the path for his team, ensuring that those he protected could return home safely.
Semper Fidelis: Through every patrol and every challenge, Colt lived the Marine Corps motto of being "Always Faithful" to his handler, Ryan Schnettler, and his country.
The Final Salute:
Colt’s watch ended on February 19, 2023, at the age of 12. On June 17, 2023, he was interred with full military honors at the Michigan War Dog Memorial. His granite headstone now stands as a permanent tribute to his bravery and the countless lives he saved.
Old Sport, your memories will live forever in our hearts. Until Valhalla.
